What is writing Writing is pain Writing is a crude attempt at translating the agony of existance into a tangible physical form How could I possibly put pen to paper and have anything worthwhile if the world were an easy and gentel place How could anyone actually want to hear passages written by a person who has never experienced a single painful thing in their entire life Pain is what fuels us Pain is what brings about change in conciousness Pain motivates the child not to misbehave again Pain is the world Anyone who tells you life is not about pain and suffering is either completely clueless or not entirely alive People grasp at this intangible concept of a blissful existance Like somewhere along the line life went bad like rotting flesh That originally life was blissful and full of peace and became chaotic and painful later And that somehow we have to make it serine and painless again I wonder how this childish pipe dream got started Life is conflict The world is conflict Do you think the chaos that lives outside your door can be stopped Do you think that we as human beings are basically good Do you think that at some point along the line the pain ends How long will we as a race hold on to this absurd desire that is little more than a convienient lie we use to cover the disgusting things we do to each other Life is pain Pain is life How could I possibly write anything worth reading if I were completely happy Pain is what fuels my pen If life had none of it s agonies I would never have written in the first place As human beings our entire existance is based on trying to deny or express our pain That is why I write I m trying in some small way to enterpret my agony in a way that others might understand or at least redefine it so that I might better understand and deal with it To grasp and define the intangible so that it s impact is not lost This is what drives me to write This is what focuses my life And this eventually is everything my life reverts back to Pain -PSYCHO78
