Blanket December 1995 Written by Errant Angel Shedding thier reluctance the blankets rise around me and press themselves in a covetous way against my bare flesh I lay back as they wrap themselves around me and only my eyes remain to look at the sky overhead Birds become blurrs and I lose my sense of the world around all I continue to notice is the warmth in my belly from the sunlight shinning through the opaque surface of my coverings The wind picks up and I forget the time or day My hunger is forgotten and my thirst is gone A fog decends on my mind and all I can concentrate on is the blankets grasp and together we lay in harmony
