Did someone say virus Apparently our viewer scared a few virus scanners last month Our coder and beta testers assured us that it only does this because of the way it is coded and not because of an actual virus You ll notice there is no external configuration file This is because it is coded using a self-modifying code that actually writes the config into the COM file It will be fixed in future versions but everyone that said it was a virus couldn t tell us which virus which would have aided in killing that part of the code While we re on that note the veiwer is awesome this month check it out but be sure to read the IV DOC New guys Minuteman an awesome ansi vga dude formerly of RiOT Liquid Vision and Asylum also cool new ansi dudes Carrion a do-all kind of dude he does ascii lit and jams at music Cybie another cool music guy Beaner yet another cool music guy leaves ReM to join our kickin music section and Phred an awesome coder that we plan to exploit to the fullest! ) Welcome all! Now FinalNet has been scrapped due to a problem with Muerte that ended up lasting a very long time (his board died while he was in Alaska for a month!) so we switched to Crime in Progress Net (CiP) Right after we did that the CiP WHQ Thieves Guild got hit by a virus (not the one in the viewer another one ) and decided to hand over the net The net will be a multi-group supporting net not just the official CiA net So if you re interested in getting your group into the net check out the net packet enclosed You may recall many packs ago we had Mister E with us as our only Literary guy Then he left to join a few other Lit groups In the mean- time CiA Lit has been improving and is now doing quite well (we re proud of em!) Well we decided to put out our own Lit mag and Mister E has agreed to come back and spearhead the whole sha-bang! Next month will be the release of our monthly Lit mag 10 Ground and Down It will showcase all the work from CiA literary artists and have some pretty impressive affiliations with some of the scene s best Lit guys We re very excited about it On that note if you re interested in joining a group that believes Lit guys should get the respect they deserve give us a call We would like to advertise the fact that we are interested in getting some more VGA artists We re going to concentrate more and more on assembling a GOOD vga team over the next few months and we plan to get damned serious about it If you have some talent in that area give us a call I had expected the summer to slow us down but so far we haven t seen it Everyone was out on vacation this month and we still had a decent amount of organization and effort from everyone Thanks to all that helped out!
